Steve Gurney: Queenstown Motivational Speaker

As well as being a Queenstown professional speaker, Steve Gurney is also an adventurer, author, inventor, engineer, multi-sport champion and motivational trainer.

Amongst world-wide racing success, he won the Coast to Coast a record 9 times, has an engineering degree, and was awarded the MNZM for services to endurance sport.

Steve is an experienced conference speaker who specialises in motivational topics. Having been a champion multi-sport athlete, Steve was struck down mid-race with a life-threatening illness in Borneo. Away from family and friends, unable to speak the local language and without access to western medicine, Steve beat the odds to recover and return to New Zealand where he had to start from rock bottom to reclaim his position as one of the world’s greatest adventure racers.

Steve has written 2 books, Lucky Legs and Eating Dirt. They contain stories and yarns of his racing and adventures, and are intertwined with research and strategies on success, resilience and mental excellence.
